Prior to registration in HES 401 and HES 402, all students must have a current criminal record check valid in the province where they will be placed for their practicum. This record check must clear the student to work with children and vulnerable adults. Applicants and students who have a criminal record may be required to withdraw from the program.
Students must have Emergency First Aid & CPR C valid until the end of all community placement and/or community practicum requirements.
In addition, students must purchase UBC’s Student Accident Insurance. Detailed information is available on the School of Health and Exercise Sciences website.
