RN Access Program - Degree Requirements

Graduation Requirements

At least 30 credits of studies must be completed at the 300 and 400 level. A minimum grade average of 65% is required for all courses in the third and fourth year. Studies must normally be finished within six years.

Residency Requirements

Students must take a minimum of 23 credits of required Nursing courses at the 300 and 400 level at the UBC Okanagan campus. This must include a minimum of 2 practice courses.

BCCNM Registration Requirement

Students in the RN Access Program are required to maintain a practicing membership with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) for the duration of their enrolment in the program.

English Requirements

    Prior to registering for any 400-level courses, all students must meet one of the following English requirements:

  • successful completion of 6 credits of university-transferable English; or
  • successful completion of ENGL 112 or equivalent; or
  • a Language Proficiency Index score of 5 or greater.
