- The School of Nursing offers three programs:
- The Basic Program: An eight-semester program that leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. Successful completion of the Basic B.S.N. program degree requirements provides eligibility to write the Canadian Entry to Practice Regulatory Exam (Canadian NCLEX) to become eligible to apply for registration as a registered nurse with the BCCNM.
- LPN Access Program: This program accepts applications from Licenced Practical Nurses (LPN). Successful completion of the LPN Access program degree requirements provides eligibility to write the Canadian Entry to Practice Regulatory Exam (Canadian NCLEX) to become eligible to apply for registration as a registered nurse with the BCCNM.
- RN Access Program: This accepts applications from nurses registered in B.C. Successful completion of the RN Access degree requirements provides a route to advance from diploma completion to degree completion.
Additionally, an official agreement between Okanagan College (OC) and UBC provides a means through which eligible OC students who have completed the first two years of the B.S.N. program at OC may apply for transfer into the third year of the B.S.N. program at the UBC Okanagan Campus.
All potential applicants are advised to consult the admission section of the Academic Calendar for UBC and program specific admission requirements.
